Lely Flamingo Island Club -Classics, is a 54 hole golf facility located in Naples, Florida. The facility has three 18-hole golf courses. Two of the courses are public access, they are The Flamingo Island Course and The Mustang course designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr. and Lee Trevino, respectively. The third course is the exclusive private Classics Course, designed by Gary Player.
The private Classics course opened for play in 1990. The course architect was Gary Player.
The greens are fairly wide and contoured, and the greens are undulating and medium-sized. This course can be quite challenging because there are fifteen water hazards that come into play.
The signature hole is #18, a 427-yard, par 4, requiring an accurate tee shot to a small landing area, then a demanding second shot over water to a small, well-bunkered green.
